My name is Khalilah Collins. I am the mother of three boys, all of who have attended schools within our district. I am an Instructional Para here at Leinkauf Elementary where I have been so for almost three years. After graduating from Williamson High School, I worked in the Mobile County Public School System as a substitute teacher while simultaneously working towards my Associates Degree from Bishop State. While continuing my education towards that goal, I began working as a preschool teacher on both their Central and Main Campus Childcare Centers where I worked for almost 18 years until the facility was closed in 2018. I re-entered the MCPSS as a substitute teacher and became a paraprofessional that following year in 2019.
